Tourism Australia’s media hosting programs

Full story

Tourism Australia understands that it is necessary, at times, for media to immerse themselves in a destination to capture its essence; to feel its energy; to explore its environs; and to engage with its people. We also recognise that this experience enables media to create motivating and compelling content.

Our media hosting programs are designed to enable media to meet these goals. Each itinerary is individually tailored to meet specific needs and story objectives. Our focus is on providing itineraries that includes the most compelling Australian experiences such as: our beaches, cities, outback, nature and wildlife, food and wine, Indigenous culture and journeys.

While we proactively invite media representatives to travel to and within Australia, we are open to talking to leading broadcast channels and production houses, print and online media representatives who may wish to pitch in story ideas. Media may be a tenured or independent representative who works across one or more media channels.

Media may also be based in Australia or in one of the many international countries that Tourism Australia is active.
