Stockpiling is now recognised as an entrenched workplace issue. The hardest working nation in the world, Australians have a total of 123 million days of stockpiled annual leave equating to $33.3 billion in wages.


A stockpiler is an employee who has accrued 25 days or more of annual leave. These stockpilers are more likely to be male, in the public service, hold a management position and be married.
